Hi, My name is Kayla!

I grew up mostly in South Florida where I first picked up a camera and fell in love with capturing anything, and everything: the crash of the waves in the ocean, flowers (still obsessed with these), sunrises, sunsets, my family and friends. As I've grown to love this medium, I have become increasingly fascinated with composition, lighting, and emotive expression. For college, I moved up to Atlanta after being recruited to play basketball and fell in love with the state -- everything from the mountains, the weather, the coffee and food, and the people! My soon-to-be-husband and I love it here and don't see ourselves leaving anytime soon!

ALL OF THEM! I know that sounds cliché, but it really is true. Every session that I have the opportunity to be apart of is a blessing. Being able to connect with and serve different people is something I have always felt called to do. Also, each session allows me to channel my creative expression differently and I find that it brings me a lot of joy to do so. I believe it's a myth to have to find one niche!

This is a tough one because I truly love all types of music. On most days though, if I'm editing or working on a project, I have a soft Indie radio playing -- I absolutely love John Mayer, The Paper Kites, Palace, Norah Jones, Leon Bridges, and James Taylor. On the flip side, other days I can rock out to Paramore, Alter Bridge, and Creed (especially if I'm trying to hit a PR at the gym lol).

Reading my Bible, serving at our church, editing, traveling, at a local coffee shop, in the woods hiking, at a local brewery, spending time with my friends and family, curling up with the book I'm reading, or watching a fun TV show.
